Fire Magic
The powerful damage skill. Yes, this skill lets you burn stuff using fire. It has a lot of skills to do extra damage and finish off opponents quickly. If you want offense choose this. The skills are Fire Weapons, Firepower, Fire Ball and Wall of Flame. There is no defensive side on Fire. I will give you a comment about these skills.

Fire Weapons: Not very useful it makes you do extra damage however you probably can't see much difference.
Firepower: Ahh... if your spending on Fire Magic make sure you raise this to a pretty high level as this increases the damage of your Fire Skills. This skill builds up all your Fire Skills.
Fire Ball: A useful skill at the start, but not that good at the end. Make sure you invest a lot of points in Firepower and this skill to achieve more effectiveness and damage. Also, this skill is castable and can use it every few turns. It can be resisted easily later in the game.
Wall Of Flame: This skill has the ability to shield you. Every time your opponent hits you with a physical attack they get some damage inflicted to them. Not very good since later in the game enemies use magic attacks more often and does not do much damage. Spend none or a few for this.

Fire magic comments: I don’t use this magic much, only when I first started. If you use this skill suggest to combine with life and spectral for defense. If you want to combine with Ice though make sure you use life. For effectiveness, spend large amounts of points in Fire Ball and Firepower if you’re using this as your main skill.



Ice Magic
Kind of like Fire Magic, but has a little freezing. Don't rely on freezing. It’s bad. Since it’s kind of like Fire Magic, I’m not going over the background; have a look at the skills.

Ice Weapons: Same as Fire Weapons; it adds a little extra Ice Damage to your attack occasionally.
Heart of Ice: Most useless skills; this has about 1/100 chance of freezing your opponent. The only reason you should be using this is to get to the other skills. It only prevents normal attacks meaning even if you actually freeze your opponent they will only be prevented from their normal attacks. Remember what I said: Enemies at the later game mostly use magic attacks.
Snowball: Same as Fireball.
Glacier Strike: This is pretty cool attack, but watch out! You must charge this attack three times before you use the attack. The Glacier Strike attack creates super powerful damage, but in the charging turns if you don’t charge a the attack you will have to charge it again, meaning if you heal or get stunned or anything else happens the skill fails to charge. So watch out. An effective way is to use Fortitude with this skill. If your level is higher this does higher damage as well.

Ice Magic comments: As I said, this is kind of like Fire Magic. I like this better due to the Glacier Strike. Snowball isn’t that good since there isn’t a way to double boost it.



Shock Magic
This magic allows you to zap your opponent with lightning to stun them as well as defend yourself.

Shock Weapons: This skill is great. You can stun your opponent to make them do nothing. Raise this skill high to stun a lot.
Disable: I don’t see the effects of this skill much. It says it lowers the opponents defense but since damage varies it’s hard to see. But after this you can get really awesome skills.
Fortitude: This skill is awesome! With this you can increase your magic resistance. Without this you’re going to be blasted very quickly by magic enemies.
Shockwave: This skill is INCREDIBLE AND INDESCRIBABLE!!! It’s a super skill! It makes you have a chance of creating a Shockwave with a normal attack doing extra damage and a stun.

Shock Magic Comments: One of the must-have magics; this one, like I said before, is the best magic ever in my opinion. I say if your newbie to Neoquest make this your main magic



Spectral Magic
The magic of light and dark and a great focus on defense.

Spectral Weapons: It says it increases your defensive ability but I can’t see much difference.
Evasion: Good skill on a normal attack. It has a chance of evading, or avoiding the attack. However, you might not want to use Wall of Flame with this skill
Absorption: A castable skill that allows you to create a shield which will absorb a normal attack to heal you. It will absorb an attack once in 5 turns after it’s cast. However, Evasion makes it harder for this to work.
Reflex: Mega skill! Yes, this attack owns; it makes your opponent reflect their normal attack back at them! However it’s random so don’t expect this often.

Spectral Magic Comments: Nice, but don't put to much. Just use this skill as your last important skill. If you’re using 4 magics (not suggested for newbies) you may put this as 3rd important.



Life Magic
Ahh… the Magic of healing and regeneration. I think every game of Neoquest should have points in this Magic.

Life Weapons: Nice skill. Allows your potions to do a extra point of heal for every point invested in this and also allows you to heal while your walking sometimes.
Field Medic: Need some more hp when you’re battling? Well then, get this skill for the whole battle! This can heal you a little every turn.
Life steal: If you successfully hit your opponent with a normal attack you get a fraction of it added to your hp! A very good skill!
Resurrection: This skill has a chance of bringing you back if you die. You get you’re your hp back. Play the game and if you aren’t finding it difficult don’t use this.

Life Magic Comments: Another must have without this you will easily run out of potions.
